Storm Drain Catch Basin Insert for Oil, Grease & SedimentÂ
Parking lots tend to be sources of water pollution with rain water carrying fuel and grease into storm drains. These storm drains then ultimately drain into streams, lakes, or underground aquifers. The Catch Basin Insert is a simple device designed to limit this pollution and fit standard storm drain. Made from geotextile fabric, the inserts will not obstruct the flow of water while absorbing hydrocarbons and retaining sediment.
A Catch Basin Inserts are easy to install and replace. Simply remove catch basin grating, clean off grating edge, insert the Catch Basin Insert and reinstall grate. Excess fabric can be cut off if desired.
Absorbs up to 1.38 gallons of hydrocarbons while retaining up to 40 lbs of sediment.
